Black History Month: Book of the Day

Apologies…  I have been swamped and/or out of the school the last couple of days and gotten behind on these posts.

Literary Classic
Warning:  This book is not for the faint of heart. Violence.  Grit.  Sex.  Murder.  Rape.  Racial brutality. It’s 1930’s Chicago and a young black man kills a young white woman.   Wright addresses what it means to be black and poor in America.   This book stands the test of time, unfortunately.

Read the book review at The Guardian.
