Lucas D’Amato: Know Your Rights

Apologies to those of you who came for Lucas’s presentation on “Know Your Rights”…  and thank you for bearing with us while we got things sorted out.

Due to what ended up as the very truncated nature of the presentation, we will be looking to do a repeat performance another day in the next couple of weeks if we can find a mutually agreeable date.

Stay tuned…

Library Closure: TCAF

The Library will be open late, and closed after school – as announced yesterday morning – as I am out of the school at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival Librarian and Educator Day for the day today (how many times can you get “day” into a single sentence!!!???)

Have a great weekend.

Turn Off Your Sites: Tuesday May 5th

Screen Shot 2015-04-16 at 12.00.15 PM

As part of our on-going involvement with the Wellness Initiatives at ESA, the Library will be participating in Turn Off Your Sites.

Congratulations to those of you – numbering well over 200 as of the end of the lunchhour on Monday, May 4th – who have made the pledge to Turn Off Your Sites for 24 hours.

The Library will be a Tech-free zone during the lunchhour tomorrow.  We’ll have cards, chess, and other games to keep you entertained.  And don’t forget, of course, about the great selection of reading materials to be found in the Library.

If you haven’t already seen it, check out the “trailer” for Turn Off Your Sites.
